EPL Table or English Premier League table as English football fans like to call it is shaping up as we get to the business end of the season. In the old format, when the Premier League’s primary sponsor was Barclays, the league table used to go by the League Premiership table. North London club, Arsenal leads the way with forty-seven (47) points after eighteen (18) games. Mike Arteta’s Gunners have been nothing short of quality. It has been quality everywhere. From the style of football, they play to the mentality shown in the squad when things get difficult. Arsenal is looking to win their first Premier League title since the 2003/2004 season when they were invincible.

Pep’s Manchester City is in second place after poor form in recent times. Defending champions, City have blown hot and cold this season. Sometimes they look class and other times they appear like a team lacking the belief to go all the way and match Sir, Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United Premier League three-peat record. Their loss against neighbor and rival Manchester United during the weekend depicts that. Having gone ahead through Jack Grealish, they let United crawl into the game through Bruno Fernandes‘ equalizer and Marcus Rashford‘s subsequent winner. In their title-winning seasons, that is the type of games they usually won.

Newcastle United stays in third place on the EPL table and is down to their outstanding improvement during the 2022/2023 season. After the Saudi takeover, many expected improvement in every area as they’ve now got enormous financial backing. But, these improvements have been rapid. And the reward so far for Eddie Howe’s men has been third place. Although, they only just edge fourth-place Manchester United by a goal difference of fourteen (14). The Magpies have also conceded the fewest goals in the league this season.

Manchester United currently sits in fourth place, having amassed thirty-eight (38) points after eighteen (18) games. With a goal difference of eight (8), in comparison with the other top four clubs it is seemingly minor. No wonder they’ve signed a striker in the January transfer window. Man United Manager, Erik ten Haag has been voicing the need for a striker in January. He has been heard by the Man United management and the striker is dutch forward, Wout Weghorst.
