The passing of Brazil and football icon Pelé has provoked reactions from past and present footballers, heads of state, and football lovers worldwide. Pelé, the only footballer to possess three (3) world cup medals died at the Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo following a battle with cancer. Pele’s daughter, Kely Nascimento, who has provided updates on her father’s health from the hospital, posted on Instagram: “Everything we are is thanks to you. We love you infinitely. Rest in peace.”
Brazilian government went on to declare three days of mourning for Edson Arantes do Nascimento, popularly known as Pele.

Neymar is one of the players to wear the iconic Brazil number 10 jersey Pele wore when he was still playing.
